W.Brooks Ladies Indoor Shield

Winners of the W.Brooks Ladies Indoor Shield was the Largs Halkshill rink of Nora Malcolm, Cath Blair, Fiona Graham and Mary Bryson (skip). Standing in that order in the photograph, it shows them being presented with the Shield by Ladies Section President Helen Shearer. The rest of the team sitting out for this particular game were Cath Kerr, Val Blakey and Jeanette Moore who, over the indoor season, contributed to the overall team success.

Prizes were sponsored by Robert Rarity Funeral Services.

Senior Section Opening Day

The opening of Largs Halkshill BC Senior Section opening day was held on the morning of April 30th

In front of the madding crowd and suitably "booted and suited" is Section President Bill Jackson and immediately to his right is Club Vice President Bill Hamill. Bill H was guest of honour in the absence of the Club President (who still has to work for a living) for the opening.

Winners of the highest up rink prize was that of C.Hill, A.McMillan, A.MacPherson andJ.Crawford.

Champion of Champions

The Champion of Champions Finals were held at Skelmorlie Bowling Club on Saturday 21 September.

Largs Halkshill were represented in all 4 Finals with Henry Pratt winning the Singles Title and Willie McCulloch and Harry McCormack being successful in the Pairs.

Monday Night Aggregate Winner 2009

This year's Monday Night Aggregate Winner was Abie Brinkman, seen here accepting the trophy from Dougie and our president Bill.

Jack Trophy

The Annual 'Jack Trophy' was held on Sun 24th January at Largs Halkshill Bowling Club. This game is between Largs Bowling Club, Fairlie Bowling Club and Halkshill Bowling Club, sponsored by David Rae Electrical. The 2010 Winners were Fairlie Bowling Club, here seen accepting the Trophy from David Rae. Highest up rink for Fairlie were A. Allan, D. Whyte, A McCormack and G. Grant.

Largs Halkshill v Rankin Park

The Annual Indoor Match was played on Sunday, 21 February 2010, and the Rankin Park were the winners. Congratulations to them, their first win in this Annual fixture.
